LGBTIQ Survey 2023 European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA)

Dear friends,

Today the European Union Agency for Fundamental Rights (FRA) launches the third EU-wide LGBTIQ survey.

It’s time for change! The survey aims to amplify the voice of LGBTIQ people in the EU. We encourage you to ‘get loud’!

The survey will assess progress since 2019 and capture the lived experiences, views and concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, intersex and queer people (LGBTIQ), aged 15 years old or older in 30 countries: the 27 EU Member States plus Albania, Serbia and North Macedonia.

TAKE PART IN THE SURVEY

Why should you take part?

The 2019 LGBTI survey – the largest survey of its kind worldwide – showed that there is still a long way to go for LGBTI equality in Europe. Fear, violence and discrimination among LGBTI people remain high.

The findings of the 2019 survey helped shape the European Commission’s LGBTIQ Equality Strategy 2020-2025. They contributed to the development of equal treatment policies and initiatives to support and protect LGBTIQ people across Europe.

This survey is another step towards full LGBTIQ equality, where everyone can be themselves and love who they want to, without the fear of discrimination, exclusion, hatred or violence.

Help us spread the word!

We count on the LGBTIQ community to take part and have their say.

Please share it widely and encourage your LGBTIQ family and friends to participate. Feel free to forward this email or share the survey link: https://lgbtiqsurvey.eu/

The survey closes at the end of July. It only takes 20 minutes to complete. Taking part is completely anonymous. Data is stored only locally on devices and deleted once the survey is completed.

Thank you for taking part!

Kind regards,

FRA LGBTIQ Survey team
