ENNHRI Europe Rule of law report 2024
The ENNHRI Europe Rule of law report 2024 provides an insight of the general challenges that impact:
- NHRIs’ effectiveness and independence
- the countries’ overall systems of checks and balances
- the topic of securitisation
- effective and timely implementation by national authorities of European Courts' judgments.
Furthermore, this report features country-specific analysis of current issues in terms of rule of law, which the CCDH has provided information and key recommendations on.
A non-exhaustive list of recommendations the CCDH has issued, includes:
- Reviewing and improving access to justice for victims of human rights violations and their representatives, such as NGOs.
- Adopting a participatory approach involving key stake- and rightsholders before presenting legislative initiatives.
- Prioritising evidence and human rights-based policy making to avoid laws, processes and practices which negatively impact human rights and/or the rule of law.
